已经回国一次。没有任何问题。 美国这些官僚机构，系统真的落后。
入籍以后要自己去SSA更新。但不影响你办理美国护照。实际上也不影响你工作。因为ssn本来也得配着其它身份证明用。
多谢，已经记不得当时有没有做了。估计是没做。 但是政府应该有个联网啊。
我以前去买车的时候，也是类似的情况。 我有绿卡，但是dealer告诉我的SSN不符合贷款要求。
即使拿了绿卡，SSN,要本人去更新以下，然后，新的SSN会少一排字。 证明你在美国，不需要工卡也能工作。我觉得，公民也有类似的一个啥设定。
楼主才知道啊？入籍时都会告知要去local office改。不过你没退休，没开始领benefit，早几年晚几年也没差。按说拿了绿卡也要去换个SSN卡，上面学生时代不能工作的标注就会去掉。我懒，拿着学生时代的SSN卡换工作也没啥问题，就一直拖到入籍后一起换了。
你去SSA更新，要带啥材料？我也是最近才知道要去更新，打SSA电话死活没人接
更新后会拿到一张新卡，上面印有金色的United states标识，和Real ID类似。

要带护照，入籍纸，驾驶执照 你要先约的。今天约的话，我这里八月底是最少一天。

我么这里，工作人员全是亚裔，给我办的是个韩国大叔，
非常顺利就办完了
那看来我还算挺幸运的，拿到绿卡很多年，没换。现在的SSN还是二十多年前刚来美国的。
SSN卡片打印的又不重要。找工作验证身份用的是出生证或者护照。你要是觉得碍眼，自己跑SSA去更新一下就是。

是自己的疏忽，不要怪别人。入籍后拿到的材料里有action item list，除了申请护照，更改SSN状态也是其中之一

我早上试试了网上申请，被拒了。要求面谈。
楼主这个情况不是单纯renew ssn, 而是改变citizenship status, 这个必须预约去office办。

只能说你不小心了。拿绿卡的时候换掉ssn上不能工作的那行字。换国籍的时候应该也要做类似的
我选了yes, 但是社安管理部门没有处理
我们这可以直接walk in，我就是某天周中早上一开门时walk in，拿个号，等了会儿。
