如果选择天气，南加无敌。 My fiance and I moved from San Diego to Boston a little less than 2 years ago. She is getting her PhD while I moved here having to search for a job. We are both in our mid twenties making much less money than you and definitely at different stages of our lives than you guys. That being said I still think I can help a little. Obviously life will be different out here, not only because the 12 month a year weather you're used to only happens for 4 or 5 months here, but also condo life to a home in the suburbs of Mass is totally different. The overall feel of Mass and the Greater Boston area is so different than anything in California. Housing prices are pretty much the same, but your home would be a much older build than the typical post 1980 builds around San Diego. With any move you'll have to find new friends which is always hard but the people of Mass are much more real than California. Riding your motorcycle will be awesome and gorgeous but only for half the year. Pretty much, if you find yourself outside enjoying the weather 3 or more times a week in San Diego, you will for sure be missing that the most out here. If you enjoy the nice weather from inside your home, through the window, doing other things most of the time, then the weather change won't be so bad. Best of luck with the decision, I know it is a much bigger one since you have already started your family.
