USCIS phone service is Schrodinger's cat - who knows what's going on. We once got in touch with two different agents and got two different answers. We are in the same boat, no decision after a year. I let my mother go back to China b/c the USCIS exempted her biometrics. You will get your approval eventually, and I believe you can legally stay outside of the US in this waiting period PLUS the two years you'll get. Of course anytime you return to the US before the approval you're fine.

请问在现在这中美关系下，如果在中国呆一年以上，甚至两年，回来海关不让入境的风险有多大？大家有经验或教训分享吗？

是超过一年吗？
把不能回美的原因证明带上，比如医院的诊断CT照片这些，现在肯定卡的严，但是真的病了或者别的因素，合情合理，那也必须放行，海关没有权利没收你的绿卡。老人过海关拒绝任何文件的签字。

移民局电话都是打不通的吗？就是没真人接吗？ 回美证申请就拿了个收据，一年多了，也没让交指纹；就算指纹不是必须的，也该有个approval. 回美证会收到approval letter 吧，不仅仅是缴费证明？
