The largest measures 0.45 x 0.30 x 0.36 cm and is located in the mid portion of the left thyroid gland. Isthmus The isthmus appears heterogeneous. Additional Information: HIGH RISK (microcalcifications, irregular margins, markedly hypoechoic, extrathyroidal extension/nodes, than wide on transverse view >1cm, refer for possible FNA if not already evaluated by Endocrinology. 0.5 - 1cm, 6 - 12 months f/u US, if stable f/u US at 6 - 12 month intervals, if stable at 24 months no further imaging recommended. <0.5cm, no imaging f/u needed.
