不知道umichd 的ce灵活度多少啊。 lz没有私立的,有私立的话,ce可以修double major cs 或minor 或ce也可以选软件的路。 ce可以软硬兼得。

都是州外,本州公立很一般,孩子还有UT达拉斯full ride,还有加州的SD,Ir,孩子因为家庭变故,消沉叛逆了两年,9年级的时候成绩非常差,GPA只有3.0后来九年级末开始发奋,十年级找到自己兴趣点自学编程,高中修了近20门AP,全A现在GPA接近4.7,ACT 35是校机器人队总队长和coach,时间太短了数学没进Amy计算机USCO竞赛成绩一般,计算机只有州里的奖第一,EC是画画(这个是我从小教的),成绩不错州里第一。他自己上正轨后我就没管过了,申请summer school申请大学都是他自己弄的。他很懂事高中自己赚了不少奖学金。
你孩子好出色。 你真有福气。 选校真的是个难题。 如果孩子很喜欢UM, 而你们确实经济上负担有困难。 给UM看U W-M的scholarship offer,让他们多少出一些学费减免。 UM看你们这么有诚意,说不定会找出钱给你们。试一试也不损失什么。

楼主娃好励志,九年级到十二年级质的飞跃。 这两个学校工程和CS都很强, 选哪个都不错。 家里经济好的,选娃喜欢的。家里经济有一定困难,或想把四年UM 学费给娃做投资买房,无脑选UWM。
请问UWM 是need base aid吗? 据说UM 不仅学费贵,一般不给助学金或奖学金。

谢谢,我只能说很苦,开始要克服很多困难,压力是一项(目标和实际相差天渊之别)我告诉他不准和任何人比,只和自己比,今天的自己胜过昨天的自己就是英雄,一点点累积,坏学习习惯不能专注是一项,游戏瘾是一项,时间管理优化是一项,九年级的时候他己经想好好学了,主要是挣扎在这四项中,压力大到半夜哭看过心理医生,我想尽办法帮他疏导,蜕变是一个过程,持续大半年,十年级的时候才稳定,我就没操心了,基本上不管了,当然我也不懂也没能力管了。平均每天睡不到六七个小时,每天靠咖啡,但一申请完就戒了咖啡,他说拒绝一切成瘾的东西。我想戒游戏是他难以磨灭的记忆,厉害的时候都关门通宵打,不上学了。
经历磨难是人生最宝贵的财富,挖掘自己内心深处的东西,拒绝和任何人相比,仅仅挑战自己。孩子抗压能力成熟度都锻练出来了。
