If your son wants to go to Jane Street, the Turing program is a good choice. Among the 2025 graduates of the Turing program, 20% go to Jane Street, and 50% were said to go to Wall Street as quantitative traders (QT) or quantitative developers (QD). Some students chose to pursue a PhD at Princeton or MIT instead of accepting a QT position at Jane Street. The training in the Turing program is highly rigorous and competitive, with professors assigning very challenging projects. Almost all students in the program are exceptionally talented, and admissions are primarily merit-based, with little consideration for DEI or affirmative action (AA). Strong performance in math competitions significantly increases a student''''s chances of getting into Jane Street.

Also it is very easy to get the in state tuition as a turing student. If you get scholarship over $1000 or $2000(?), you can qualify the in state tuition. A lot of out of state turing student eventually pay in state tuition.
Turing program requires research training ; Students can choose lab and be welcomed to do research from the first year in UT; Students need to write thesis and defense it to graduate. In the past, Turing program is mainly designed to find talents in research and industry field; only in this few years, due to the high pay as QT or QD a lot of turing student go to wall street.

Should be true. 2023 graduates almost 50% got wall street offer ( mainly QD >$400000 per year), some turing students went to industry even getting wallstreet offer as QD
Turing students complete core curriculum and rigorous training in the first two years so it is easy for them to find interns and jobs and get high pay. Some of them may not want to continue to do research, just want graduate early and make a lot of money without complete turing honor

Harvey mudd

turing
Should be true. 2023 graduates almost 50% got wall street offer ( mainly QD >$400000 per year), some turing students went to industry even getting wallstreet offer as QD
CS特别强的 孩子 can apply turing as backup. Because Turing program only merit based admit students and consider little abour AA or DEI or yield protection.

cmu
