发音(元音)和语调有区别: I 肯(1) do it vs I 看(4)do it. In pronunciation, "I can do it" and "I can''''t do it" differ mainly in the contraction and stress patterns. Here''''s a breakdown: "I can do it": Pronounced as /aɪ kən du ɪt/ in phonetic terms. "Can" is typically unstressed and sounds like "kən" (with a schwa sound), while "do" and "it" carry more emphasis: "I kən DOO it." "I can''''t do it": Pronounced as /aɪ kænt du ɪt/. "Can''''t" is stressed and pronounced with a clear "æ" sound (like in "cat"), so it sounds like "kænt." The phrase flows as "I KÆNT DOO it," with "can''''t" standing out. The key difference is the "can" (kən) vs. "can''''t" (kænt) part— "can" is softer and quicker, while "can''''t" has a sharper, longer vowel sound. In casual speech, especially in American English, "can''''t" might sometimes sound closer to "ken''''t" depending on accents, but the distinction from "can" remains audible. Context and intonation (like rising for a question or falling for a statement) also help clarify meaning. Try saying them aloud: "I can do it" feels lighter, while "I can''''t do it" has a punchier "can''''t."
很多时候靠说话的语气和上下文区分。发音的话,肯定的时候can里面元音a的发音更重,就好比说a can of soup, 里面那个can是说得比较重的。can''t里面a的发音比较短比较平一些, 而且发完can''t之后和发后面紧接那个字前会稍微停顿一下 zenmehui 发表于 2025-03-26 11:39
读 I can 时不强调 can,重音不放在 can 上。 读 I can't 时重音放在 can 上,t 轻读,相当于 I CAN't. 经常听不清,就问问。 自己说的时候用替代,I am willing to, I am going to, I am happy to等等,I can't 就用 I canNOT 或者 I am unable, I won't be able to 什么的。
I can''''t do it alone. (can''''t 为轻读,这里的轻指的是t不发音,并非指a元音不发花a的音,实际a元音仍然发花a的音,只是t不发音)
请问如何分清上面的读音呢?
多谢!
cant 其实读作“看”,第四声去声。
can 读“勘” 第一声
轻度的cant是直接下 和‘看’一样
这两个音完全不一样啊lz 一个是‘i 砍 do it’ 一个是 ’i 看 do it’ 有哪个地方相似呢?
I 肯(1) do it vs I 看(4)do it.

英音比较容易区别。
美音里面,can't是发成‘看‘的音吗?还是花a的发音?
有时候需要强调能。
比如:丈夫说妻子离开了他,她就不能活。 妻子大怒说到 "I CAN live without you." 这时候can就不能轻读了。
有道理。
这两个音我根本分不清楚,自己也说不清楚
每次我都说cannot 或者not able to
大多数时候需要Clarification 问问题的时候也会说这两个词
挺好的解释。
补充一点:CAN和can''''t里的元音都是花a。
然后就是你说的:
CAN是先上后下 can''''t是直接下
以上是美音。英音比较好辨识。因为英音的can''''t中的a发‘啊’的音。也就是你说的‘看’
今天,我终于弄明白了这两个音了。
a can of soup. 非常好的例子。华人网,真是藏龙卧虎。
在说can的前面加Yes,否则肯定分不清。
抗特是英式读音
