For the third straight year, the Tesla Model Y was the best-selling new vehicle in California — and it wasn’t even close. According to data from the CNCDA, 128,923 new Tesla Model Ys were purchased in 2024 and registered in the Golden State. The mid-size SUV blew the competition away as it had 63,882 more sales than the next car model: Toyota RAV4.
