Under “Force Design 2030,” the Corps would do away with its tanks, make other cuts and devote fewer resources for its long-held mission as the nation’s premier crisis-response force. Instead, the focus would be on China, with small teams of missile-toting Marines hopping from island to island in the Western Pacific to attack the Chinese fleet in a conflict. The effort, however, is raising questions about how ready the Marines are to handle unanticipated threats in an increasingly disorderly world.

这种脱钓是意料之中的事。我在海军里面的朋友说,他们首要任务便是准备与中国作战。
与此同时,中国用于台湾登岛的special barge 已经在建造中。灾难正在一步步向我们逼近。
天啊。
也不用过于担心。平民百姓,这种事情也不是个人能控制的。
其实现在俄罗斯和美国的关系更让人担心。俄罗斯有6000-7000核弹头,一旦局势失控非常可怕。
你美国海军里的朋友跟你一个中国人说他们准备和中国作战?怎么听起来这么奇怪呢。。。。
啥级别的军人还能跟朋友唠嗑国家机密?
这其实挺正常的,比如我们这附近的政府和军队的工作人员很多,很熟悉的人说一些泛泛的涉及中国的话,其实不算啥机密。比如说重点针对中国这样的话,我就听过好几次,就跟普通老百姓聊天差不多而已,属于没有价值的口水话。尤其说话人本身是华裔的话,对其他华裔讲这样的话一般也不太避嫌。
可以想象各地驻军的工作人员说类似的话,也不是很奇怪的。
NPR采访太平洋舰队司令,“这将是人类有史以来最大的海战”,都明说了。 接下来有报道美军开启二战时太平洋上岛屿基地重修跑道等等,各大新闻媒体都有报道。
突然想起来,我一个朋友的小孩好象正在申请这个学院。不过这对他们只是个选项,不是主要的目标。
台湾不会有战争的。俄乌战争之类争夺土地战争还是二战思维,现在的竞争已经超过这维度了。中国出来了新战机后,台湾战争的风险已经大大降低。因为台湾地位已经是降维了。
真正应该担心的是核战。
中国要崩了,赶紧崩啊,这都三十年了,怎么还不崩?

以前我大学时候去中科院一个所实习,那个组做很多海军的项目,组里有一些现役的解放军军官读博。我跟他们住一起,大家晚上的主要话题就是如何统一台湾。跳进去仔细研究,发现一些问题不是那么简单的。
就比如粮食问题,仔细计算就发现,无论是周边国家围堵中国大陆,或者中国大陆禁运台湾,都无法在一年内让中国大陆或者台湾饿肚子。台湾是个奇怪的地方,农民产一堆大米然后政府无奈收购,正好蒋介石搞了一大堆仓库,也放得下,于是乎塞满仓库的主粮。
