Common Core 本身还是有可取之处吧。各州确定标准。不然的话,中小学教学质量更是无法保证。 你说的问题,大概是指教学方法太教条,本末倒置了。

公立学校。no child left behind
这还是老师自个儿的问题啊。
如果这三个孩子,老师花心思教,确实能有进步,那我可以理解。毕竟能得到成果。
但如果“老师一遍一遍讲解,她们仨又互相说话不听讲”,老师已经发现是做无用功(不管是客观评价,还是对老师的教学成果的评价),那么还乐此不疲,那就是老师懒得花心思干别的而已。。。
实际上,如果最后没有啥对老师评价的东西,那么自然不需要在意。如果有对老师的评价,肯定也只能是学生的成绩 - 不可能是“我在课堂上花了很多工夫帮助学的不好的学生”这种吧?那么为啥要做无用功?
所以就要自己带着孩子去补课啊。
为啥“被告状”?
不知道学校怎么评估老师。但是公立学校的原则是 No child left behind.
不过,公立学区也是有教育资源的,我娃明年会去数学的acceleration,不用再和这几个孩子一起“学数学”了。
男孩bored了,就会有麻烦啊。。。哈哈

程度差这么大的怎么可能分到一个班?我家上的私校是数学先进的可以根据水平去能够去的水平,可以甚至跟senior一块上课。但据我所知公校也是这样的。楼主这个情况水平差这么大怎么分到一个班的?

据我了解,她们分班是这样。每个学期开学之前,同一年级的老师在一起开会,把学生按上一年的成绩表现分成几个级别,然后各个班的老师,平均分配一下好学生差学生。
这样各班的平均水平大致差不多。每个班都会有几个好学生, 也会有几个差学生。
原因是什么呢?
加州原来的标准更科学合理?那么全美都用加州的标准是不是更好?
哎。。。
不是每个学校都这样吧,不是号称湾区卷校区孩子们很多在外补课,学习整体超前,课堂也超前。肯定有不补课跟不上的学生吧,但是老师还是跟着大多数学生往前跑了啊。
我也是这么给娃反馈的。
长大以后,会和各种各样的人打交道。从小学习这些技巧。
学校对数学真不重视,我们这里亚裔少。我们上kumon再跟beestar这些年,不然对孩子的咋样心里没谱,老印也一样,不但数学,六科都跟。打基础真不能靠学校
