最近我们去了一趟佛蒙特州的Burlington，然后开车去蒙特利尔，参观了位于旧城区的圣母大教堂 (The Notre-Dame Basilica )。 教堂后面是圣心小教堂(Chapel of the Sacred Heart)。迪翁的婚礼也在此举行的。 圣心小教堂的正面是一幅青铜祭坛雕塑作品。入口处有个牌子，对作品的作者及内容进行了解释: 作者是魁北克雕塑家Charles Daudelin（ 1920 – 2001) 。作品的灵感来自法国耶稣会士Teilhard de Chardin (1881 – 1955)，他因古生物学研究而著称，名言是 “The most satisfying thing in life is to have been able to give a large part of one''''s self to others.” 作品描绘的主题是人类通向上帝之道。 三个（小）弧形（从下往上）代表人生三阶段：出生及童年阶段，成年生活阶段，老年及死亡阶段。 最上面一个弧形表示人类共同走向上帝，以圣三位一体的形式呈现出来：灿烂的太阳象征圣父，耶稣的脸庞意味着圣子，展翅的鸽子象征圣灵。 The theme depicted in this piece is humanity''''''''''''''''s path to God.
