(How to exert influence in cross departments meetings ?) 书里还说: if you have no good inputs for a meeting , then it is kinda wasting other people time or that meeting space 几天又要不同部门的人开check-in会了。

First, what's the objective of this cross-functional meeting? Is this a regular cadence / report out or there are specific issues to address? Second, what's your role in this meeting? Is there action required from you? Are you clear what the next steps are? What are your recommendations? What support do you need from other functions? If you are just a downstream function that will be impacted, you need to understand how and when you will be impacted and will this cause any issues, what's your plan to mitigate / address? Third, are there any follow-ups? What are the key takeaways? When you are in a meeting, the focus shouldn't be "how do I look smart", instead, focus on "how do I contribute."

Scope : majority comes from standing check in meeting . Small portion comes from specific topic meeting Role : downstream. We are the person who compile and feeds from everyone else''''s work and tie the final bow before delivering to end users. I guess my biggest problem is I haven''''t carved out my space in this whole group play yet . 当然build my own team 这个我有在做。
