钱学森待遇很差的。 有次看央视小崔节目， 嘉宾是“钱学森”电视剧成员。 其中有访问钱学森遗孀蒋英片段， 还是原来中科院宿舍筒子楼， 很是凄凉。同时间清华给数个美籍华人建校园小洋楼，包括杨振宁林家翘等。 钱学森和林家翘师出同门导师冯卡门。 钱学森回国后，林家翘毕业去MIT做教授， 后来成为MIT学院级教授和美国应用数学学会主席。据说林教授在佛罗里达买好退休房， 当然清华小洋楼高大上多了。钱学森和林家翘都有获得Caltech杰出校友奖。

是啊，我忘年交老公就是美国某院士，他们经常有工作机会世界各地开会之类的，但是医疗在这里还是跟大家一样的，美国没有什么专门特殊待遇，除非你家人在医疗系统，连锁医院的确有VIP病房，但是如果不是去的自己孩子在的医院也没有VIP病房。
我老闆是美國院士，就喜歡做實驗研究科研。開一個二手小破車，電腦估計十年前的。人家一年能掙100萬，心思從來都在科研和運動上面。最喜歡爬山滑雪， 7，80嵗的時候體力比我們隨便一個博士或者博士後還好。所以你要說他過的苦，那的確是。

还要考虑当时中国和美国巨大的经济发展差距和生活水平。。 中国哪怕再如何优待钱学森，在物质上肯定还是不如美国的。

我一直以为中国的（美国的也一样）大学，top15到20的学生都一样。成才与否就看运气和专业方向了。
