Grand Velas Riviera Maya 前几个月我住的Hyatt Ziva Cancun 这2个比较起来就是宝马和兰博基尼。
+1。特别是出门两个景点之间的非旅游城市，就为了住一夜而不为了体验的。崭新的Fairfield or garden inn 可能比旧的JW都舒服。
一家子每晚多少钱？
但有的地方只有大车店，比如很多国家公园附近，我也能忍。
还有像日本普遍很干净，本土平价连锁$60-80就非常舒适 (房间面积小但我不care), 选在火车站里面或者挨着，不要太方便。我去日本不是一路全部高级酒店。
三星的能给什么好饭吃
疫情以后LA好的要上千，很夸张的。
这几天$2000多一晚，平时$1000-$1500
我们也主要住三星，偶尔住四星五星
看在哪儿，目的是啥。过路的话，Hyatt Place啥的也许三星也许2星，免费早餐随便吃点，完全没毛病。停车通常也免费，贵的酒店停车也许就要$50-60。
吃的是停电的民宿最好，服务是五星的最好。最放松是澡堂子。最社恐友好是日式老房子从头到尾没见一个服务的人，全程自助。
别说大人了，我们家孩子住了好酒店以后再去住差点的酒店都会跟我抱怨说酒店隔音不好，味道不太好。

另外5星lobby好看，餐厅不错，床品好，有各种service，相对更干净，对我来说brunch是一天最重要的，我晚上吃的少，三星那些免费送的平时吃还ok，度假吃就太差了

valet九十、一百的很多，更麻烦的是没有十分钟半小时的车取不来🤣
没碰到过100这么贵的哈，刚从Vegas回来，self是20一天，valet40一天，也就差20，我们都时提前打电话或者提前一个人去kiosk上操作叫他们开车过来
不过有小娃后，他这套理念行不通了。前几次旅游都发现他订的酒店，餐厅不允许小p孩子就餐，只能room service。还有就是在外面吃饭娃不好好吃，家长也吃不好，经常剩很多，酒店房间没有微波炉，无法打包，觉得很浪费。我非常不喜欢浪费食物，这点很不爽，还在摸索中。

我也是至少得3星，一般4-5🌟，3星是没办法的当地只有3星，我对酒店要求还是觉得卫生，安全，服务好很重要，现在正在伦敦，5星凯悦，有行政酒廊免费下午茶，昨天住的4星，女儿说了，今天的床明显舒服过昨天的。去年暑假体验了纽约2家希尔顿康莱德，现在都念念不忘里面的洗浴用品（当时买了几瓶带回家），后悔买少了。 现在学着人家玩酒店会员卡，做到最高级，有各种优待，还是蛮爽的

除了楼上大家提到的好处，我这几年有心情学习些园艺、插花，高级酒店就是免费学习教材啊😄目前还在酒店里飘着，这次又拍了些插花盆景，准备回家照着葫芦画瓢，慢慢的自己也能找些规律。另外，对孩子也是个耳濡目染的过程，习惯之后，将来自己成家立业，能赚钱、也会花钱，就足够了。

五星怎么算的， 就按 expedia, booking 这种网站的星数？
旅馆本身就是旅游的一部分，为啥要分出真正的旅游这种鄙视链？
孩子不大的时候，旅馆的游泳池，有个slide, lazy River 就够玩了。
地点好的，看日出日落，去滑雪gondola, 去浮潜，都不用再开车找位，有的还有private beach, private trail, 甚至private slot canyon.
在大城市里的，找concierge 买music 票，订tour.
晚上累了不想出去找食儿，旅馆里的饭店就够好了。
房间墙够厚，门够厚，毛巾够厚，床够硬，隔壁没有truck driver 做运动，没有teenager 闹一夜。

网站的星级基本可以参考。另外就是几个luxury brands 像four season, fairmont, 和一个chain 下面的头部品牌，比如Marriott 下面的 Ritz, St. Regis, Edition, luxury collection (我个人觉得W和JW要比前几个差一点）。
还有就是各个国家公园里最贵的那个 - 一定是位置最好的，old faithful, lake hotel, timberline lodge, many glacier lodge, el Tovar, awahanee, lake quinault, zion lodge, Jenny lake lodge - 这有得设施很简陋，可是等到日落，大多数游客都出去了，这一块儿公园就是你的。早上起来，其他游客还没进来，日出也还是你的。
美国NP这些死贵的lodge实在是简陋，不过为了看美景我忍了。
