我的truck 在 repair shop 被偷。 dropped off for repair one day, the next day was called by a cop saying that someone broke into the shop and stole some equipment, and somehow my truck was the only one stolen... I think it was an inside job and some employee there or their buddies stole my truck, because it was a beautiful black lifted truck with tow package, extended cab, bed cover and liner, etc... 然后我就开始deal with their insurance company Travelers 然后一开始只给我kelly blue book 上面最basic 装置的 sell to dealer 那个价格。。。 然后我说我有leather seating啊， backup camera啊， etc， brand new wheels tires lift kit， tow package， etc etc。。 然后给我加了二千。。。 然后我说， 你们还是没有把lift kit， new wheels new tires， bed liner tow package加进去。。 然后噩梦开始了 insurance adjuster说， 我们要 INVOICE。。 我说， 我要么去dealership那里问问 然后我去dealership那里问， dealership 正好 changed ownership，说paperwork都moved to headquaters， 打了一个礼拜的电话， 才找倒一个在finance department里面的。。 说只有一个new tires的invoice， 其他的东西， 可能我们买那个truck的时候， 就有了。。。 我forward 了那个tires的invoice， invoice 1500， insurance就加了300的valuation 然后我和insurance 说，你们干嘛一直insist on insurance。 I could have gotten all these extra features for free, it still adds value to the truck... adjustor 就是一直坚持要invoice 然后我一直要求adjustor打电话给我， 他就是不打电话。 就email说我们要invoice。 这样持续了一个礼拜了 今天给了我一个letter， 说如果你不take payment on the 1/2， we will close the case。。 我打电话给他， 他也不接. left several voicemails, 不回。 然后我接到 traveler 总线， 另外adjustor 只是说， that's his case, i have sent him a message to call you.
昨天我还在和朋友说， considering the headache I have dealing with the insurance for just one car.. remember the BLM riots in the summer of 2020? And those people smashed all the small businesses.. and the liberals were saying, so what, they have insurance... try to deal with insurance company after your store is smashed..

夏天树倒了砸了我的车，跟home insurance掰扯了三个月，也是各种不接电话，不回留言，投诉找经理也没有任何回访，只有两次电话，一下都不让人交流，就说就这个结果这么多钱，然后马上挂电话，恶心得我到现在一想到保险就生理性想吐。
也看明白了，保险就是防止破产和对付liability的，想挽回损失就算了，讨那个钱还不够生气的，我也想投诉，还发邮件找法律顾问，没什么回应，而且真的ptsd到想到这事儿就恶心，长篇大论写一堆投诉只有更多的生气和精力成本。
你可以要车的原始invoice啊，如果车买的时候已经包括了很多package，你找出原始的purchase agreement，价钱里就包含了所有installed packages，如果有breakdown就更好了。

不想耗心力就那样了，主要是车保险那边赔的很爽快，加加减减也够平衡维修开支了，车自己差不多修修拿支票能省一些，给砍树清理补贴一些。
前年是停车场被别人剐了，progressive的保险，也是拖了三个月，到处投诉，不知道哪里起了效果，反正是州律师、保险行业协会、bbb、推特全发了一遍，得亏是我lg弄的，我自己真是伤不起搞这一通。
