首先需要理解，为什么会有弃程票的存在。
美国的航空公司（其实全世界大部分全服务航空公司 full service，对应的是廉航）都采用是是Hub-And-Spoke 系统，即是运营几个大的枢纽机场，把乘客先拉到枢纽，然后从这个转机站再拉到最终的目的地。比如达拉斯是AA hub，西雅图是DL和Alaska的 hub。
如买AA的国内机票，若不是直飞的话，大多会从达拉斯（DFW），夏洛特（CLT），芝加哥（ORD），费城（PHL）和凤凰城（PHX）转机。国际航班也是类似。每个航司的hub都不太一样。
因为demand的supply的原因，从一个冷门区域去某航司的hub的航线往往是供不应求的，客户为了避免转机，愿意花更多的钱来直飞（其他航司大概率在这个区间内没有直飞），所以机票价格比较高。 而冷门到冷门的区域，一般都需要经过1次中转。那么航司之间谁都没有特别大的优势，所以航司之间为了竞争，故意把价格降的很低。 然后鸡贼的人看到了这个机会，他本来想去hub，但是故意订了一个偏远地区的票。因为前面说的原因，大家都是一程中转，所以会出现倒挂现象。然后用户，到了hub直接把剩下的航段给弃了。占了航空公司的便宜。而且，会给行李直挂等带来很多问题。 航空公司被你赚一次便宜，还可以，多了都会翻脸。
航空公司有么有权利翻脸？ 有的。 因为机票不是简单的电影票，机票是一组fare和规则。规则不一样，价格也不一样。 推荐大家使用网站 itamatrix 这个网站可以帮你查到你买到机票的详细规则。 退改签等等。
如果你故意弃程，就是违背了机票的使用规则。相当于合同违约了。那么，航司当然有权利拒绝履约的。
当然很多人，并不一定是故意玩弃程票。因为不专业，也不熟悉。但是票代就未必了，有些票代，非常擅长玩这些弃程票，但是他们以原价或者稍微低一些的价格卖给你。 作为客户，你花了到hub的钱，但是你实际上拿到的是弃程票。所有的风险都是你自己担的。这就比较缺德。以前某ota平台上有很多这种票代。
最后，建议还是在规则范围内玩，自己订票直接去航司订。
