If you are eligible, then your Social Security payments will continue even though you are outside the United States for 6 consecutive calendar months or more because you have met an exception to the alien nonpayment provisions of the Social Security law.

据下文,只有公民可以 https://www.ssa.gov/international/payments.html Can I receive Social Security benefits if I am not a U.S. citizen and I live outside the United States? Generally, we cannot pay Retirement, Survivors, and Disability Insurance benefits to noncitizens after their sixth calendar month outside the United States. However, you might qualify for an exception, which could allow you to receive benefits without visiting the United States. If an exception does not apply, you must be physically and lawfully present in the United States for a full calendar month to begin receiving benefits. If you leave the U.S., we will stop your benefits the month after the sixth calendar month in a row that you are outside the country. US Citizens US citizens who renounce their citizenship are the most common category required to pay an exit tax, as long as they qualify as covered expatriates. If you are a US citizen, the IRS will judge whether you are covered or not based on the following factors: 1. Net Worth If your personal net worth exceeds $2 million 2. Annual Net Income Tax If the average net income tax over the past five years exceeds a set threshold, you will be considered a covered expat. The exact threshold changes from year to year to adjust for inflation. In 2022, it was set at $178,000. 3. Tax Filing Compliance When filing Form 8854, you will be asked to indicate whether you’ve filed tax returns for the previous five years. If you have not filed for all five years, you will be considered a covered expat.

If you are eligible, then your Social Security payments will continue even though you are outside the United States for 6 consecutive calendar months or more because you have met an exception to the alien nonpayment provisions of the Social Security law.
finally!!!
mark
Chain reaction !!!

However, you might qualify for an exception, which could allow you to receive benefits without visiting the United States.
However, you might qualify for an exception, which could allow you to receive benefits without visiting the United States.
Payments Outside the United States If you are eligible, then your Social Security payments will continue even though you are outside the United States for 6 consecutive calendar months or more because you have met an exception to the alien nonpayment provisions of the Social Security law.
Your payments will continue even if you have been outside the U.S. for more than six full calendar months, if you are a citizen of one of the countries listed below, and the worker on whose record your benefits are based lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years or earned at least 40 credits under the U.S. Social Security system.
told you!
SS. https://www.ssa.gov/deposit/foreign.htm

这叫美国税务居民,resident of the United States for U.S. tax purposes 对。

Long-Term Residents
Green Card holders who have lived lawfully in the US for eight years in the last fifteen years may be subject to the exit tax regardless of their income, net worth, or filing compliance.
Because of the way the law is written, this could be as short as six years and two days, so your time in the US needs to be looked at carefully.
If you are a citizen of one of the countries listed below, your Social Security payments will keep coming no matter how long you stay outside the U.S., as long as you are eligible for the payments.
you are saying even if one passes away, the SS checks will keep on coming? sounded too good to be true.
