I remember there is a airside hotel at HND. Notice the capsule hotel seemed to be for male only (at least I was not able book/find any for females). If your tickets are codeshare or under the same alliance (example, united and ana) then you can interline the luggage (i.e. check all the way through).

上个月 我坐2段全日空 就是羽田转,行李直挂,不需要重新check in。
不需要日本签证,不入境日本,不需要核酸。只要符合美国入境要求就行。
不出机场需要签证的情况是,分别买了2个没有行李直挂协议的航班,比如前一段美联,后一段弄个spirit之类的。
这样需要日本出境再取行李,再check in。也许会便宜,但真的是玩自己的做法。
如果本来就plan 去日本玩2-3天,倒是很好的。

我事务所的同事,自己到美国来玩。分段买票,春秋航空上海到东京,然后Zip air 东京到美国。这位还是律师,估计脑子糊涂了,根本没考虑自己托运的行李怎么上第二个航班。
春秋干脆在上海就没让他上飞机。
