However, Jefferies analyst Brent Thill says the impact of the product is uncertain. “While CHGG plans to launch the CheggMate beta this month to a select few, the timing of a full launch is unclear,” he said. “We don’t expect there to be any meaningful impact from CheggMate in FY23, believing any potential impact won’t show up until FY24 at the earliest.”

现在最根本的问题是，当AI能力足够强的时候，我们是否还需要讲课的faculty? 如果不需要，大学存在的意义也不大了。如果大学不存在了，也就没人当faculty了，这个行业就消失了。

那搞个研究所就好，不要混大学。
你是不是上的不是research为主，而是teaching为主的大学？教授很多都是巴不得买断上课时间，做research。年轻点的只不过没钱付，或是为了evaluation只能满足上课要求。
你怎么逻辑那么差？教授如果需要买断上课时间，不是正说明需要上课吗？如果根本不需要有人教课了，教授还需要买断什么上课时间？如果不需要有人教课，那大学还存在吗？如果大学不存在了，还什么教授？不管你teaching还是research，都不是教授了。学校没学生来听课了，大学个啥，教授个啥？想做研究的去专门的政府或商业研究机构就好了。大学这个行业就消失了。
所以，关键问题，AI 能取代教课的老师吗？If yes，大学没有了，以后大家都在家跟着电脑学

看来你还真是不懂。 研究型大学，教授大部分时间都是带着phd，postdoc，搞研究。还有一堆堆的research faculty，甚至比tt还要多。很多不想教课，所以自己funding里出钱给学校，可以不上课。。。 以后不需要上课，你反倒觉得他们都不保工作？
我没有说研究人员工作不保，只是他们不是教授了，因为如果大学都不存在了，哪来的教授？

以前有电视授课，老师这个行业也没挎。
最大的问题是99%的人太懒了，网课上了2天就quit.
你们多少人能坚持一个网课从头上到尾？家庭作业，考试坚持的？99%的娃，网课会睡觉。
基本上是人被AI当猪养着么？人不干活，干啥？像以前马很多，用处很多。后来机械化了，马被车取代，除了赛马，其他的感觉都绝种了吧
