夏校时间有长有短，还有很多是online的，完全可以安排好好的，既学习又回国啊。我儿子10年级，开学11年级。他从5月中放假到8月初，会上自己高中的一门非核心必修课，某藤校一门最新的课，某藤校的医学夏校，这些campus课业大概到6月23号结束。同时做local大学和某top20大学的两个课题（整个暑期，online参与，每周开三次会，其他时间自己用电脑完成工作）。我们6月底到8月初回国，这期间他会继续做两所大学online的课题。在国内要待35天，已经在上海预约健身私教，还要跟老人学做菜，还要和我们去旅游。很丰富的暑假啊。Work hard, play harder

高中生已经完全可以生活自理了，我们朋友好几个爸妈暑假回国，出国旅行， 孩子就自己在家呆着了。
还可以这样，女孩不太放心吧。。。。
你朋友们心真大，我周围还真没有这么操作的。 我孩高四的话我也许放心出去两三天，高一高二我就比较难想象了。更不要提是回国这种长时间的旅行了。
你们看看老美父母就知道这种很多了。 又不是一出去半年那种，几个星期，都高中生了还不能自己解决，那不是废物点心了吗？

早早定了暑期回国，4年没回家了。然后就是安排，按计划申请，还得有back up plan，有些申请挺激烈的。 总之，父母是要用心的，跟娃和counselor沟通好。
我covid之前有几年每年带俩娃暑假回国一个月。
夏校， 除了那两三个不花钱的， 都没用。打算花钱上的， 要三思啊
怎么找的大学课题

我家疫情前都带娃每年回两个月啊，两口子都在学校工作，不奇怪吧。
需要中文很好吗？去参加的补习班都是在中文授课吧
听得懂那些中文？听不太懂的话，和去波多黎各学中文差不多吧。
不拿N个藤校offer都觉得亏啊。
为什么听不懂呢？
我以前暑假带着回一个月吧，回久的可能家庭主妇，或者可以在家上班，或者老公带着先回，老婆后回分开带娃看各自父母，让孩子在国内呆时间长。
我家寒假也回过，但是发现飞机容易因为天气下雪原因晚点或取消，很麻烦。
寒假我们只有三个星期假，不够折腾的。。。
还好，孩子老人都挺开心。家长累点。小孩子上飞机就睡，下飞机就玩，飞机晚点折腾的确，特别大人。小孩还是在哪都能睡
夫妻两的家在一个城市还好些，我们坐高铁还得五个多小时。只能指望暑假了。
看来你还没有为人父母，只是张口就来而已
有的是家庭主妇呢。一放暑假就带回去，孩子交给老人带着，自己吃喝玩乐，别提多爽。反正我很羡慕。

我有一个混血cousin从teenager开始就特别喜欢回国，因为他在国内比国外更受女生欢迎
看孩子，中文好的，喜欢热闹想逛夜市的，爱喝奶茶想体验天天叫外卖的，都很喜欢回国。
我家的就这样，中文马马虎虎，喜欢热闹想逛夜市，爱喝奶茶。。。小学三年级开始都自己飞回去，不同城市还有几个朋友的，就特别爱回去 疫情三年，有两年暑假她自己飞欧洲上2周夏令营，然后我飞过去一起玩一个月，今年知道可以回国了，就是要回去要回去 别说回国的夏令营了，天天一群女孩子在村里逛奶茶店也好开心

两口子分开走两个月不成问题
很多高中生还不会开车，或者家里没有给多余的车给孩子开，那几个星期让孩子被锁家里了？
对的，还有女孩子喜欢的小饰品店文具店也很有吸引力。我女儿知道今年能回国，高兴地跳起来。
住大学城里的每年回国是常态。我们每年暑假都超级长，比娃学校的长多了。

这些暑期活动，家里有或有过高中娃的一看就知道很普普通通呀。选择上上网课，跟认识的或是升学包装公司请的大学老师做做project（其实高中生能做啥project，就是混混简历而已），藤校的summer school, 大多数交钱上上，熟悉一下大学环境。真正硬核的项目其实一个都没有，对申请大学有多大用处真不好说，只是对孩子熟悉大学还是有帮助就是了。
