老人中国境内办美国绿卡大概需要多久

我是美国籍，老人在中国，给她办绿卡，大概需要多久能拿到绿卡？在绿卡到手前有办法来美国吗？她现在有的是旅游签证。一旦提交绿卡申请就作废了。

I would think it depends on states. I am from CT and it took 5 months from submit to getting an interview and pass the interview and get verbal approval at the end of interview but getting the physical card took another 3 months and had to get local politicians involved.
Also there is a wechat group for parents in the same situations

如果有旅游签证还是先来了美国再办绿卡比较快，开始绿卡申请，身份就不是旅游签证了，而是等待转换身份，等多久都没问题
