大家的英语口语水平怎么样？

我觉得口语好，不只是简单的交谈问答。是有一定程度的长时间的聊天。因为是聊天，还需要背景知识，才能进行稍微深度的交流。

用词准确很重要，要流利还有语速，两个词之间要连接起来读，不能像中文那每个字吐出来。还有名词动词形容词要读重，连词读轻。虽然道理懂，真的说出来有时就忘记了。

我个人觉得，语音语调尽力就好，不用过分纠结。
熟练掌握较为丰富的中高级词汇短语句式，能准确流利得表达好的内容，重要多了。
公司开会，一个很优秀的印度同事介绍项目，条理清晰，逻辑严谨，既有high-level 描述，又有details, 最后还有 insights/lesson learned。他虽然有口音，但是遣词造句都非常棒，逻辑好，准确，流利，还时不时有几个高级词汇，也许比大部分美国人语言掌控能力都好。不得不说，好的内容 + 好的表达能力，非常打动人， 哈哈。

我吵架时英文最好。 而且闺女和我吵架时中文最好。 所以吵架时是最高水平的。
我刚来美国时口语很差，现在的工作是需要大量交流的，能做的很少有中国人 。多年来一直听英语广播，休闲阅读大量英语书籍，我听力和阅读应该就是本土水平了，平时感觉不到听读不懂的 词，用英语聊起天来天南地北，和用中文聊天没有区别不过一直有口音，写作有时候犯语法错误，但是做这个需要大量说写英语的工作没问题，最近还觉得书面正式书写能力比以前强了。
想写博客，拿不定主意是写中文还是英语。觉得英语文采应该比中文差多了
本来一直觉得自己口语不是那么的好，看看这个帖子才发现自己快呆在中国人的顶层了。楼主居然都没有为我们这种人立一个选项

这个不一定准，很多人有看没有懂，自己还不知道，误会自己看懂了。 直接去做题SAT 大学程度，GRE 研究生程度，最准了，出题目的人，都是美国文科里面厉害的教授。

你说的是阅读理解，我说的是阅读速度。至于理解，我们就假设正常理解范围就好。我GRE几乎满分，但阅读速度远不如美国人。我想看看这些觉得自己已经跟老美一个水平的测一下。

不好，只有和人吵架的时候最好，因为没时间想。吵赢就停机了。

没有比第一个更低的？ 公司开会只能听懂1/3。

嗯，母语的阅读速度是很厉害的，有的文本，可能差别不大，有的文本可是天壤之别。

估计你年纪比较大，小留口语好的很多，老留口语相比小留来说，少一些。主要外语是个童子功，小留从小有条件学习。 来了美国以后英文口语进步不进步，主要是和工种有关。举例吧，一般的工程师口语就不行，一般的发考题需要给学生上课的口语相比普通工程师肯定好一些。

说的不错。我是来美国以后才开始说英语，错过关键时机真是千难万难，20年来兢兢业业练口语，没什么可吹嘘的，就是持之以恒才到今天闲聊吵架开会叽叽嘎嘎不停说的地步，仍然会犯语法错误，仍然有口音。
听读写也一样，都是花了大量时间力气才到了今天这个地步。 和工作关系不大，是生活方式问题。你想学就会调整生活方式。

实际上我碰见过几个英语天赋惊人的中国人，完全听不出任何口音，腔调就是正宗美国英语，我佩服得五体投地，我这种辛辛苦苦提高英语的跟他们比望尘莫及，奇怪这些人怎么没有在这里发言。

这个也得分读啥，大学那个科目。历史地理这种读起来不太需要费脑子的自然快。要整个哲学，莎士比亚文学那种就慢太多了…或者说有思想深度，和平白的事实，理解起来的差距太大。有的书一小时也就能看个十几页，有读书一小时可以扫个几十页。

我爸妈可以自己在家附近的商店或者农民市场（讲英文的）买简单的grocery，如果商店收错钱也能指出来。能自己去看他们的PCP，说得清病情，听得懂医生说的（医生以前国内山东医科大学的）。能跟邻居说一句how are you，人家回她就听不懂了。他们俩都不会说英文。
如果我们住在法拉盛，你说的所有问题都能用中文解决。

看病是有点难，主要是词汇量，很多医学的词不一定知道，常见的病还好一点。

医疗工作者和病人打交道的原则一直是尽可能不要专业词汇，用最日常的方式解释和询问疾病。看个病只需要你用口音解释头疼脑热

Very occasionally, I will turn blank on a word. Otherwise I could understand the meanings with no problem. If there is a word that I don't know during conversation, I will immediately repeat the word, ask what it means. and get a clear definition back
The same is true for watching movies and TV - there is almost no dialogues that I couldn't understand. But the problem with watching movies and TV dramas is that if a word I don’t know pops up, I can’t just ask the screen - that will be silly. But if there are people around me, then, voila, problem solved.
As for understanding humor and the meaning of puns, of course you need to understand all the implication and "colors" of the words on top of the literal meaning,
In terms of speaking, my routine is that once I start, my brain will automatically switch to the English mode - everything is processed in English. There is no hesitation in expressing myself.
I have to be honest: English is not my mother tongue - I can't compete with ABCs or kids came to the United States before the age of seven or eight, or even before the age of ten. I still have a little bit of accent - can't compare with those with no accent at all
Then, there are also writing and other aspects, including the speed of writing, etc. I guess that compared with those kids, I am even more behind

没错啊！ 一个人12岁以后语言的潜力已经被固定下来了，其后再学外语是十分困难的事情。我们这整整一代接受的是糟糕透顶的中式英语教育，来了美国才真正接触英语大环境，每个人都应该骄傲自己对环境包括语言的调试能力。天天贬低别人算什么本事

这个我也说不好具体时间。
就是某一天突然意识到，我说中文时，脑子里就全是中文，一旦说英语，感觉中文那个闸门就自动关上了，无缝切换成英语。
当然这中间经历过很长一段时间。我本人的情况是，刚出国时，我完全听不懂人家说什么，看电视电影更是完全听不懂，看纸面的东西要好不少，毕竟国内读书时，书面英语也有不不少年头了，但也读得磕磕碰碰的，而且读得慢。
我们当年，国内根本没有现在这个条件，网上可以下载各种原文语音资料，看美剧啥的，基本都是靠老师说，而老师的口语水平就别提了，口音就更差。
我猜我之所以后来有这么多进步有几点：
1. 我出来比较早一些，我的专业当时很少有国人，比如我们学校，我的同学中就我一个外国人，其他都是当地人。同学全都对我很好很热情，部分原因可能是对我还有些好奇？刚开始我因为语言障碍有些害羞，但同学很多都爱找我聊天，耐心听我的结结巴巴英文。
另外基本每个星期赶鸭子上架会跟他们去bar, 他们喝酒我喝饮料，硬着头皮跟他们聊天。另外我们的大部分作业，需要小组行动去采访，甚至需要自己组成小组拍一个短剧之类的，导演，编剧，演员都是我们自己当哈哈哈。
‘这些都逼着我有大量时间用英语沟通。
2· 我自己属于比较爱跟人打交道那种，遇到任何要办的事情，包括开账户，上保险等等，无论是当面，还是必须电话沟通，我都很来劲，不管别人能不能听懂，我就很愿意表达。
3. 即使看不懂任何电影电视剧节目，我每天也会强制自己看最少两到三个小时，电视节目的话不挑，广告，情景剧啥啥的，逮哪儿看哪儿。还清楚记得，刚开始花了很多钱，跟朋友去看电影，我每次集中精力用尽洪荒之力听了几分钟，就撑不住睡着了，直到终场被叫醒。
这样坚持了几个月（记不清了，3到5个月之间？），有一天发现，电视里不少地方，我都能听懂了。
4. 房东住在同一套房子，我们关系很好，经常跟房东聊天。
5. 读研时，作过两年的的大学中文课程助教。尤其暑假，每天上两个小时课，中间说中文的比例，最多10%,因为都是教最初级的，绝大部分时间必须说英文。另外学生特别爱提问，这也是训练自己的地方。
这些应该都是循序渐进的吧，应该每天都会有一点点弱小进步？大概七八年之后，就突然意识到，自己现在说英语，已经不会脑子里想中文然后翻成英语了。而是感觉一需要说中文，脑子里中文开关立马关掉，而英文开关也在同时打开了。

我觉得15岁以后来的美国，口语不可能没口音了吧 我上过口音课（老师不太行，把我一个其实没啥错的元音给纠正错了） 也找过传说中二战德国间谍纠正口音用的pathologist（据传说病理专家纠正过的发音，德国人进入英国根本没人听得出） 当然，老师也不太行.......... 后来我基本上就放弃了 有时候状态好的话能说一点挺好听的英语，状态不好的话连我自己都不想听
