一个老美问： Optimum Service man. One of their techs showed up to service my neighbor service. Without asking permission or ringing our bell to ask permission, he walked on to my property. My wife who was home alone, saw someone moving in the back yard, when she went out to confront him, he was very rude and disrespectful. She allowed him to run his cable, but then he started cutting tree branches and throwing then on the ground. When she asked if he was going to clean it up when he was done, he said it was the home owners responsibility. She informed she didn't call him nor was he doing any work for our property. Unfortunately he was gone by the time I was able to leave work and make it back home. It would've been a different narrative had I got home and he was still there. I tried looking for a number to phone in a complaint with the company. After endless phone bots, I finally got a customer service representative who said they would refer it to a supervisor and have someone call me back. I don't mind giving any utility person access to do their job, but courtesy and respect for the home owners property needs to be their upmost basis, especially when they need access to do their job for someone else. I'm really thinking why aren't there more options than just this company and Verizon serving the Long Island area.
一个老美答： I work for Optimum, years ago I was a lineman and did that type of work. We are always supposed to knock to let the customer know we will be in their yard( we do have full easement rights to be there), but as a courtesy we would always let them know. Also I had to cut branches down quite often, but it was my responsibility to remove whatever I cut. It may have been an Optimum contractor, they are running fiber for us. Either way keep complaining. I have been with the company for 25 years, and it is a different company since Altice took over. We were treated like family when the Dolan's owned it, now we are treated like any other big company.(edited)
