gas bill的问题。

只有暖气是gas, 其他热水什么的用的是电。为什么除了冬天，每月还有大概25刀的费用。是实打实的用气， 不是什么maintenance fee。这是哪里气泄露了？

The pilot light is always on in your gas furnace (and a gas fireplace too, if you have one). The continuously running pilot lights consume significant amounts of gas. You can turn off the pilot lights, but you have to be handy, otherwise you have to hire someone to do that for you, a few times when the seasons change.

硅谷的话，一年365天，也就10天不用暖气（一般是4am左右启动）

有基本费吧？不用也要交的那种。

有deliver fee的，哪怕是不用也有，就是这么黑

有个最低费用，一点气不用也要交，还不如用掉。

如果不用，就给gas company挂电话取消。

用多少，是另外交钱。 比如你用了$1gas,那就是$26.

所以我每年4-10月左右，都是找煤气公司关了煤气，这样每个月delivery fee 30可以省掉，一共180，但是每次开通要收60，这样只省120，不过去年公司换了新东家，这60没收，也不知道以后会不会收或者加价，反正为了安全关关开开也不错，每次开都有员工上门检查煤气炉子有没有问题啥的，上次说炉子太老了，有个阀门已经不符合现在的安全标准了，建议我换掉。

bill上面会有读表数值. 如果有数字变化就查一下设备开关或管道. 夏天如果把Gas暖系统开着pilot flame, 系统还是会像前面解释的会启动的. 水暖尤其严重.
