啥都丢了，你要能记住自己的名字，SSN,生日，去美国使馆查，他们有你的照片和指纹。 再加一点，如果绿卡和入籍是自己操办的，电脑上肯定有扫描件，找律师办的，律师那也有复印件。

哪有这么复杂。人土生土长的美国人，没办过绿卡和入境的，没有什么律师的怎么办。god forbid, 如果你出事了，身上什么都没有，只有赤条条的人怎么办？只要打电话给美国使馆你的legal name和SSN，他们应该就可以查资料核实后帮你办了新护照。

不复杂，你想一想以下两种情况。 1) 你有任何证件比如驾照或者持枪证证明你的身份，不需要证明国籍，只需要证明身份，他们很快就可以查到你的信息并补办护照。 2) 你啥文件都没有，也没有亲朋好友提供复印件照片，那你就只能用你的口述信息找使馆，核对需要一些时间，至少他们得先证明你是你说的身份，才能办。他们总不能不核实信息就给人随便发护照吧？
毕竟正常途径办护照是需要提供文件证明你的身份和国籍的。国外旅行丢了所有文件有可能发生，这时候就需要核实信息了。你的复印件和照片会加快核实。
