Costco Warranty prerequisite was rotation and balancing (every 8K) not alignment. Alignment is not as trivial as rotation and balancing. That's all I could recall but I could be wrong.

这都好几年了，加上疫情，我们alignment的证据也都不在了，上一次还是去年10月份，我们也的确不勤做rotation。不过要是按照costco标准，他们应该不可能给任何他们换的轮胎负责，因为附加损坏是你自己的责任，保养不好也是你的责任，解释权全在他们那里，那他们宣传的所谓5年，6万miles有什么意义呢

balance : 是让每一个轮胎要平衡在它自己的中心，如果有一边重，就在另一边加个小铁块。 alignment: 是车的大轴及控制系统要均衡平稳地让每个轮子转起来，调整的是轴上的部件。 不是一码事

balance 是动平衡，alignment是四轮定位。
我记错了，是Alighnment, 要花钱做的，建议每5000 Mile做一次，所以每次rotate轮胎时我们就做了。Costco就要Rotate和alignment的证据 （不是balance），好在我们都有，Firestone都保存着记录，有一次差点过了7000 迈。所以他们认了。最后掏了200 出头换了四个新轮胎。自己全出的话要500 多块。

我都是到walmart换了，各种小牌子我的使用经验是没有区别，挺耐磨的。就是costco一起买还可以，中间一个出了问题就很尴尬，
多交$10 rotate轮胎，还是一起换机油时的优惠价，regular是$30，去costco是免费给Rotate。

上次Costco就是要每5000 迈alignment的证据才honor 那个Warranty，也许他是骗我的？我们在Firestone买了lifetime alignment package，什么时候去Alignment都是免费的，所以我们每次rotate轮胎就要求做Alignment，Costco也只能认了，虽然他家非说Firestone的alignment做的不好，然后Firestone 说Costco的轮胎不适合minivan :-）

你拿着costco的价格到discount tire去让他们price match就行了
rotation是为你好， 不rotation， 前轮新轮胎， 顶多跑3w, 年检就过不了了， 不停地rotation， 可以跑6~7万麦
严格说每次换油都需要rotation， 所以很多车铺把这两个放一块儿
