Just a viewpoint: Perhaps, in a political system dominated by two major parties, each party has the responsibility to argue, for many many years, almost never ceasing, who is the actual and better driven force of economic growth. Whereas, in a single dominant party system, the party is responsible to just doing their possible best for the growth of economy, year after year, without spending the luxury time of arguing. My 2 cents!
