前一阵子Superintendent Cheryl James-Ward 的言论 (Asian students do well in school because they are rich)在华人圈子掀起了舆论的大波浪。我给他们学区的board of trustees 写信去抗议了。下面是学区Mr. Michael Allman给我的其中一封回信。我不在加州，所以不能参加。希望有当地学区的华人家长能去开会为我们的孩子发声。 是今天开会，我才看到email, 所以有点晚。但希望有多一点的华人家长看到，可以去现场。 Dear XXX, The Board has a meeting this Wednesday at the District Offices at 710 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas. At 6:00, we will be taking public comments from those who would like to address Dr Ward and the Board concerning this specific matter. I am sure we will have a big crowd. If you are interested in attending, you might want to arrive at 5:30. I''ll also be sending out a reminder tomorrow about the meeting. I feel like there is still considerable pain in the community and it is important that every voice be heard.
