选拔性质的。体育有，学术也有。孩子到了那个level。自然会听说。没听说，就别打听了，自寻烦恼.
这些好的免费summer Program录取率比T5还低，一般人基本不要指望了。

看孩子自己喜欢什么就做什么，或者自己有什么资源可以用
个人感觉，11年级，牛牛牛娃不算，想做intern，得有关系。（前一阵分享娃申请mit, cal tech的记得也是家里有关系）

有些高中也会提供渠道，我知道的纽约3大公立里，暑假，学校会牵线。 也可以自己找，这个就要看孩子自己有多大的耐心了。
大学生，尤其低年级，找不到暑期工作的多的是，高中生没有关系想做正经intern基本上是不可能的。这个关系，可以是家长的关系，或者学校的program。那些公司拿来做公关的program，一般都是给URM准备的，孩子自己去申请很难录。

前两年好像还有一个华人的妈妈说自己的孩子申请了某个免费的camp，老师明说这些机会都是给URM的，华人中产的孩子根本没戏。
这个说法我也听说了， 本来想着去个CAMP要个推荐信， 没用， 可以考虑去实验室义工呀，

推荐信只要去上都给写。至于写得好坏就要看了。 这有封推荐信，不长但是非常牛。
这个算便宜的，至少是咱梦校，体验一下还算值得。哥大也发来邀请函，1万2，圈钱没商量！

什么公司有给高中生的summer intern, 看到的都是给大学生的
我们州政府有，问题是普通老百姓的孩子进得去？ 高中生出去手续麻烦，尤其是工作，因为是minor。能有这样机会的，不外乎：家里门路，公司有义工programming/学校program，实在太优秀。可能性按顺序指数级降低。
至少哈佛的夏校 是给钱就上
