Then the new boss will initiate the transfer process to the higher level. But actually the new boss will talk to your current lead and ask opinion as courtesy.

我自己是想换了，因为现在manager专业的这部分他根本也不会告诉我，之前做了很久没啥成果，以后他也不会变个样来帮我，所以留下对我同样没有帮助的。只是在VP那里要怎么说，也不好说他根本不share knowledge，根本就不supportive吧。还有就是这是个新VP才来一个月，也还比较年轻，现在他对大家印象都还不错，不知道我去提这事儿他会不会觉得我事事儿的，反而觉得是我不好。
隔壁老大对我印象是不错，但怕他担心项目做不出来不想接。不过我愿意不要这个项目，做隔壁老大的其它项目也可以。还有manager之间会不会不想得罪彼此而不管我的事。他们不是朋友，但表面上还过得去。
如果换组不成功有基本上只能离开了，跟着现在manager不出活儿不进步，还天天不愉快。想问一下我应该先找工作有点眉目了，然后去跟隔壁老大+VP申请离开，还是先去申请离开，如果不成再找工作。找工作要准备，周期比较长。不知道万一不收我，特别是VP不同意的话，他们会不会觉得我要走会开始招人，那时我就比较被动了。还是说公司不会想太多。
另外，如果隔壁组老大同意收，VP一般是就同意呢还是会唧歪一番。谢谢啦。
