(In a typical year the campus offers admission to approximately 21,000 freshman and transfer students, and enrolls about 9,500 of them.)

是相对校方原定预计的录取人数减少5100。不能和10年前比。
伯克利小城装不下这么多学生啊，市政府早不乐意了

如果是这个原因的话， 华人上的妈妈得注意了， 以后不光是名校， 普通州立都得减少招生， 老师都转码了
近几年，还真是好多学生不去这学校。注册好课要抢，一门计算机课，至少几百人上，老师上课都用扩音器，也不能保证宿舍分配。就这几点，吓退一大批学生,也难怪排名上不去。

是，好多年前就是了，前两年都是什么千人大课，上课都是在礼堂转播的，online也可以看。 学校提供不了足够的住宿，食堂，甚至停车位和课堂都保证不了，学生住在附近的出租屋里，吃方便食品，从网上看直播or录播 就这种课，选课还抢成一团。不少孩子必须上summer school甚至延期毕业，因为抢不到课。 真不知道哪里来的信心还想扩招3500本科生，先扩招70个教授，700个TA行不行
这么差呀？
UCB学术水平很好，但是学生体验差劲。 二十年前就已经是这个定位了。
