First republic savings 要拿relationship rate 理论上要把1/4的钱放在checking.

哎, 我到公司吃午饭时跟同事们一说, 结果被说成少见多怪, 原来在那前一年有人从长岛east hampton的一家capitalone ATM 那里捡了张收据, the balance was like 100 million. It was on NY post. But it was a saving account, though.

Checking 就日常开销，房货车货什么的一个月总开销。大概两个月的开销就行。每个月调整，saving放大概6个月的开销，其它钱都差不多投资了

大家说的是checking，没说saving account吧？checking一般我会保留足够下次信用卡还款额度再加2000左右。saving会保留大概家里半年基本花销，包括房子贷款地税和饭钱
这个都是即时转就行了，实时到账saving 转checking。我就是怕放多了不安全。
我一般月初放6000。花完了就不再花了。这样可以控制花销，要不然真要破产。这个不包括🏠和吃饭开销，那些从其他账户regular出。
ibond 不是5年不能取吗？ 我放2万多在 checking，不够了就从 brokerage account 里面转点出来

能随时转的saving account跟checking没有本质区别，利率都可以忽略不计。
紧急情况还有信用卡可以用 也有几万块
brokerage的问题是转钱出来还是要等几天 不能立马到账
所以我们checking/saving 一般都会留个小几万，绝对不超过5万，多的了也是直接进brokerage待命
saving有转账取款限制，一个月六次。checking比较灵活随便花但容易被盗？所以checking放个几千块吧，不够saving里转大笔过去。

Fed removed the 6 withdraw limit (Regulartion D) in 2020 so now there really isn''t any meaningful difference btw savings and checkings.
This is gone since mid 2020.

比如每个月买点大盘，用钱就卖点，有多余钱就买点。
我俩都低物欲，孩子成年经济独立。这2年也不回国不旅游，不去餐馆，不购物，花钱真的不多。
Robinhood cash现在看着是fdic的，之前他们偷换概念搞了一次没有的话，结果被罚了。
不过我觉得还是分散着放，一般fdic每家是保25万，有些金融机构是帮你把钱放五个合作银行，这样大概一米或者更多。
不过我是不会趴着那么多cash不投资，也不用担心这个问题
我是三个银行的checking每个不多放，一个走房贷，一个走信用卡账单，这样规避风险，什么支票欺诈的减少损失的风险

不一定 比如fidelity smart cash就可以投资和cash flow 兼顾。而且全球的ATM机都没有手续费。你看到的，可能就是投资组合的总和。 这么有钱的，一般都知道理财。
