小孩还是等一等好 novavax 12月31号向 FDA提交了数据, 按规定会在30天后提交紧急使用申请 “first time in history that the ineffectiveness of a medicine is being blamed on those who haven't taken it” --- Robert Wallace Malone
Robert Wallace Malone is an American virologist and immunologist. His work has focused on mRNA technology, pharmaceuticals, and drug repurposing research. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he has been criticized for promoting misinformation about the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines.[1][2][3][4] In the late 1980s, while a graduate student researcher at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in San Diego, California, Malone conducted studies on messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) technology, discovering that it was possible to transfer mRNA protected by a liposome into cultured cells to signal the information needed for the production of proteins.[8][2] In 1987, Malone performed a landmark experiment on transfection of RNA into human, rat, mouse, Xenopus, and Drosophila cells, published in 1989.[9][10] A follow-up study also published in 1989 found that frog embryos absorbed such mRNA. A 1990 paper, in collaboration with Jon A. Wolff, Dennis A. Carson, and others, first suggested the possibility of synthesizing mRNA in a laboratory to trigger the production of a desired protein.[11] These studies are recognized as among the earliest steps towards mRNA vaccine development.[12][9][1][13][14] Malone claims to be the inventor of mRNA vaccines, and while Stan Gromkowski, an early mRNA vaccine researcher and cellular immunologist, views Malone as "an underappreciated pioneer" who could be in contention to win a Nobel Prize for his work,[1] credit for the distinction is more often given to later advancements by Katalin Karikó or Derrick Rossi,[8][15][16] and was ultimately the result of the contributions of hundreds of researchers, including Malone.[17]

Herold suspected that the children mounted a less robust adaptive immune response because their innate response was more efficient at eliminating the threat. An overactive adaptive response in adults, she says, could be causing some of the complications in COVID-19.“ 某种程度上过于active的adaptive response反而有害 ”Children with disorders affecting their adaptive immune response — those who don’t produce antibodies or have faulty B-cell and T-cell production, for example — did not encounter problems when infected with SARS-CoV-2. Among those that became severely ill were children with shortcomings in their innate immune response, she says. “It’s not really the adaptive immune system that is helping you to beat this virus.” 而且小朋友自身产生的antibody更broad She and her colleagues found that adults had more cross-reactive antibodies targeted at parts of SARS-CoV-2 that were similar to bits of other coronaviruses, whereas children tended to produce a broader range of antibodies against all sections of the virus.
最后,文章中的一组数据:a total of 3,649 children were hospitalized between March 2020 and late August 2021, and more than 420 have died.

我跟LZ一样,大人打了两针,没有打 booster,也没有给孩子打, so far so good
Novavax covid vaccine作为同一类技术的疫苗,believed to be safer
