Q Sydneysiders will be aware that they will have nuclear-powered submarines in the harbour in the distant future. But a consequence of the AUKUS agreement will mean visits to Sydney by other nuclear powered and armed warships in the near future. It is also possible the USA will establish a base at Garden Island for these visits. I suggest this will not make Sydney safer from either an environmental or a national security viewpoint.
