She has Medicare so it should not be that hard to find one. She needs her family dr’s referral to see a neurologist. If she does not have a supplement for Medicare, she needs it now.
You can google symptoms for Alzheimer’s disease and see if she has any. If she does, it’s going to be a long battle and you need to make financial arrangements now. I would consult a financial advisor ASAP.
At one point, you need to get POA for her. If she can’t live on her own, her child or spouse can be her POA (Power of Attorney). So you can make financial decisions for her and this will allow the drs to talk to you.
I helped her established revocable living trust 3 years ago when things were normal. But now, she is not trusting anymore, and almost each day, she says she wants to change her living trust, she wants to sell her house and gives the money to some strangers, such as sales at shopping mall. I am not sure if someone like her with mental illness could make decision to sell her property in living trust. But apparently, she dose not have the capability to make the best and rational decision for herself.
I’ve never heard of that because a normal person would never do such a harmful thing to their loved ones. It’s going to traumatize them so much that they may never get recovered from it. They are patients not criminals.

It's not a hurtful thing to get your loved ones to see a doctor as soon as possible! Of course it would be the best if lz could persuade her mother in law to go to see a doctor voluntarily, but if it doesn't work, at one point she has to do whatever works
服用的药物,更像是镇静剂,it’s just to calm them down so they won’t do crazy things.

She has Medicare so it should not be that hard to find one. She needs her family dr’s referral to see a neurologist. If she does not have a supplement for Medicare, she needs it now.
That’s the worst idea I’ve ever heard! Unbelievable!
https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.commonhealth.com.tw/amp/article/69935
她 有Medicare and some supplement plans of Medicare.
Costco
At one point, you need to get POA for her. If she can’t live on her own, her child or spouse can be her POA (Power of Attorney). So you can make financial decisions for her and this will allow the drs to talk to you.

Well said. Totally agreed.
By the time they are confirmed, they will be at stage 3 or 4. There are totally of 7 stages of Alzheimer’s.
You definitely need to set up the POA.
