First thing is filtration to separate the larger objects. Second is coagulation to stir up the solids. then sedimentation so the solids dry up and get haled away as fertilizers. then flocculation to get rid of major smell. from there the water needs to go throu UV lights or colorization before it can be used. This water will not be totally drinkable but it will be allowed to use for irrigation purpose. Some places use it for car wash as well. The water still smell slightly but it is clear in color.
