Mortgage modification from BofA

今天收到BofA的邮件说可以mortgage modification减低现在的rate。 联系了我们现在的lender说是交950就可以，算一下这不是白送钱吗？还不需要任何paper work。 问一下，班上有人做过类似的吗？too good to be true?
