好老板遇不可求。平庸的人是大多数,不管是老板还是下属。但下属不平庸,而老板平庸,很容易冲突走人啊。

最糟糕的是给了建议然后就是不听。我觉得我就是不断在当杨修。
有不少老板自以为是,在养老公司多年,不尊重技术专家,因为他们以为自己很专家。实际上这类老板根本没时间跟上技术,都花时间搞管理或玩政治去了,但还是不尊重懂的人,因为养老公司懂不懂不重要,因为裁人是裁只会干活的人。搞管理的决定谁走谁留,嫡系留下,非嫡系再能干也不行。
不完全赞同,而且还有误导别人的作用,尤其是刚踏入社会的年青人。以我这管理40人的经验,一般跟领导建立有一定信任度的关系是最重要的,其次是要一定成度上的表忠心。升职跟你做多了,少了,或刚刚好,没有太多直接关系。只要我对一个下属的忠心度存有疑虑,是不是threat,我都不会重用的。理论和实践还是有差距的。
问题就是如何跟平庸的老板建立信任度。比如你跟他说这个不做要撞车了,然后他不做,然后真的撞车了。你觉得他出完丑会信任你?
这个是反逻辑思维的问题,要是有了信任度,他再平庸也会有听你的可能吧?先建立信任度再提建议。况且人人都应该会有犯错的时候,那怕是老板。你不也是从错误中学习过来的吗?不听劝而翻车,和信不信任一个人,想想,没有直接冲突呀。
建议你读一下Franklin Covey 的Speed of Trust。 不要在一个恶性循环中,就因为怕给老板建议,怕他出了丑,不信任你而不注重Trust 的重要性,就是一个vicious cycle。 要以建立一个良性循环,virtuous cycle, 为己任,这和老板没啥关系。 况且,种种老板对下属的忠心度是很敏感的。
那你认为怎么建立信任度呢? 我个人认为平庸与否,老板是不太可能去信任厉害的下属的。因为这个才能威胁到他自己的存在。不是说我自己,我看到的身在高位的都不会允许手下有代替他的可能。不管说的如何好听。即便是退休选继任者,也是选不如他的人让董事会再次感到他的重要。
以事论事,你说的情况一定有。我说了,那是他或她不信任你,不觉得你忠心在先。我不知道我是不是少数,有个白人下属,比我能干但也让我分享他能干的成果,让我很有面子,他的忠心我能相信,就把他升到和我平起平坐。之后,公司在我俩中又要找个再升一级,他立马表忠心,说不会与我竞争,然后我升了。你说下个升级机会,我会不考虑他吗?

你这是lose-win 的mindset,对你应该没啥好处的。 Lose-lose, win-lose或是lose-win 都是防碍自己前进的绊脚石。 我那下属就有那win-win的mindset, 那是很难得的。
也有很多情况,老板根本没有发展下属的意思,因为不他信任下属在先,只是招个人干活,因为他的人干不了。这种情况在烙印老板里很常见。所以小心。
种种不一样的人,一定有这类的,任何色种都有。小心,只要一入社会都一定要小心。 理论实践起来,还是那80-20rule, 十个人中一定至少有两个特别不好的那种人。我的意思是,小心为基础,但不要小心到networking 都受影响。然后在基础上,以一个win-win Mindset, 勇敢前进,不要老是怕出锋头,只做到刚刚好。
