Per popular request, here is a list of titles aimed at giftedness for those of you who might want to brush up on your understanding of your student(s) during those lazy days of summer. Not your usual poolside reading! 弱弱的问啥样的算gifted，是智商超群的还是普通学校里排名靠前的？

学习好不一定是gifted，gifted也不一定成绩就好。可以看看这个网站列的娃的特点看是不是符合。 https://www.nagc.org/resources-publications/resources/my-child-gifted/common-characteristics-gifted-individuals/traits

看这本就行了 Keys to Parenting the Gifted Child, 3rd Edition  Sylvia Rimm, PhD
还有Education of the Gifted and Talented, Why Bright Kids Get Poor Grades 也是她写的。
Rimm是全美Gifted education专家中的专家

是啊，真正gifted的孩子里有很多会遇到各种各样的情绪和精神问题，所以父母真的需要学习一下怎么应对，特别需要关注social emotional 方面。gifted绝对不等同于通常所谓的成绩好。

原来gift是这个意思，涨知识了

第一本书是教育专业的教材，出到第七还是第八版了。 网上有pdf格式，

Sylvia Rimm的书里也提了， gifted孩子有大概1/3过于敏感无法接受失败，如果给他太多竞争就干脆不学了
“underachievement gifted kids”
所以你既要给他适当的挫折教育让他能接受挫折，又不能给太多， 很麻烦
