I found on YouTube, under each lesson, viewers will summarize the key points of the class in the comments, which makes it a bit easier to follow up. Also used Pimsleur Spanish audio book from library, think it's good. But audio only is too difficult to follow along. Never tried Pimsleur web version, which may have visual contents.

哈哈，你说对了。 对于认真学习尤其想速成的同学，Duolinquo很不好用。尤其那些奇怪的句子，啥“那只鸭子想喝牛奶” 简直莫名其妙。 但是，对于酱油党，Duolinguo是最能坚持的。我现在也差不多连续打卡300天了。 之前用它学过一段时间西语，效果甚微，我也忙，就弃了。结果疫情期间重新捡起来，发现一两年前学过的很多生词还有印象。瞬间有了动力。现在同时学西语和意大利语，每天打卡，虽然进度慢，总是在前进的。

一张嘴什么都说不出来也没关系，对我来说，学语言的主要目的是阅读和听力，理解能力是第一的，输出能力是次要的。
文化的精髓大部分都以书面、媒体形式存在，对我而言，学一门语言主要就是为了吸取那些文化的精华。能看懂托尔斯泰的小说，读懂阿多尼斯的诗歌比能说能重要

我还挺喜欢中国古代建筑的，我以前住的城市博物馆里头有一个中国明代建筑小模型，我有时围着它一看就看几十分钟
谢谢分享。我也觉得自学语言很难。
我年轻时学日语学了一段时间， 上课的话老师要听写， 要你背诵， 要讲，还要各种考试测验，学得很快。而且我们中国人学日语，语种相似，理解得快，发音也容易。 我来美国以后还想继续选修日文， 结果试听了一堂课就 drop 了， 因为同学老师都是美国人， 必须用英文解释日文的语法和汉字， 感觉绕远路了， 而且我当时英文也不灵光， 听得好累。
我们附近的 community college 有日文课。 最近几年我考虑过， 但是想起以前的经历，决定还是不考虑了。
没有标准的南美西班牙语，每个国家都有点不同，比如阿根廷西班牙语听着都有点意大利语的意思。美国人学的偏墨西哥一些吧。以前的印象，不知道现在变了没。发音偏墨西哥，语法哪种简单教哪种。TA们有一半是西班牙人，他们嘲笑美国教的是Texas西班牙语。
我当年也是试了几节法语课，非洲ta讲的法语我死活听不懂，而且美国教语言重听说，不是系统的讲语法，没有拉丁语系基础的学着太累了。
日文和中文 不是一个体系
日语体系极其复杂
不如越南语好学
你别和我抬杠呀， 我好歹正规学过一些日文。
我没有说一个体系， 是东亚语种有相近之处。 两者的语法是相差不少。
另外， 我不喜欢听越南话， 特别是那个鼻音。
感觉还好吧。听起来类似粤语
至少比 日语 韩国语 好听很多很多啊
也容易学。
如果当年 广东 福建 台湾 越南合并 为一个国家
越南肯定是中国最发达的地方。

我其实没有在学西班牙文，以前学过几个月，放弃了，但一直不甘心，总想再捡起来，因为非常喜欢！
现在在学另一个语言，但时不时地还会看看听听西班牙文
看你学得这么快，非常动心 。。
我一点西班牙语没学过，但是这个剧我开着字幕能理解50%。罗曼语系的好处就是你会一门，其它几门就很容易了。都是拉丁语发展过来的。
我中学学法语的，然后在法国交换过一年，法语口语和听力C2水平。也学过几年拉丁语和意大利语。
