Rheem HVAC Warranty 年限

以前住过的房子空调系统都没有出过问题，以至于没有关注过HVAC的质保条款。现在房子的空调系统是前房主在2014年装的全新Rheem，2019年买房的时候，前房主把安装商出具的发票文件和Rheem签发的 Conditional Warranty consumer warranty confirmation文件都给了我们。发票上列明heat exchanger 质保25年，其他部件都是10年。现在发现AC制冷不行，检查后说是Coil漏氟利昂，必须换新的Coil。维修公司说厂家Rheem不批准免费给我们一个coil，要我们自己全款600美金买一个新的，加上人工费，就要1200美金了。厂家的理由是，他们的质保只给设备安装时候的房主，房子买卖之后，HVAC中的所有部件的质保年限就从10年变成5年，coil也是5年，也就是说2019年开始就过了质保期。 我们觉得这样很不合理，感觉厂家为了逃避责任，强行缩短质保年限。 不知道版上有没有类似经历的姐妹，有没有经验可以分享一下，多谢！

他的网站上写的，自己可以翻翻base warranty是什么。 Is the Limited Parts Warranty transferable to subsequent homeowners? The conditional portion of the Limited Parts Warranty is NOT transferable. Subsequent homeowners do have the remaining balance of the original base Limited Parts Warranty.

它的conditoinal是这么定义的 5 A Ten (10) Year Conditional Parts Warranty applies to the noted models only, and if the following conditions are satisfied: a) unit is installed & properly matched with an outdoor unit from the Manufacturer, as specified by the Manufacturer and AHRI published ratings; AND b) unit is installed in a residential* application; is still owned by the original purchaser; in the original installation location; AND c) warranty is registered with the Manufacturer within 60 days of original installation or closing of the purchase of your residence. 谢谢你MM，没想到conditional warranty 是这个定义的，这么多条件下来，还是卖的精。 不知道厂家设置这种“房子买卖会影响到HVAC系统的质保年限”的依据是什么，继任房主也只是正常使用设备，凭什么质保期限就缩短呢。家里的其他设备，洗衣机烘干机，冰箱，质保跟房主变更没有关系，连汽车转手都不影响厂家质保时间。不知道是所有HVAC厂家都这样，还是只有Rheem 这家这样。

Move on, 以后这些质保不要轻信，给窗户那个lifetime warranty一个意思
