Gideon Long in Bogotá Martín Vizcarra, Peru’s former president, and his wife, who caused outrage by jumping the queue and getting vaccinated against Covid-19 last October — months before the country began its vaccine roll-out — have both tested positive for the disease. Vizcarra confirmed the news on Twitter on Sunday, saying the couple were suffering symptoms and were isolating. The 58-year-old was among nearly 500 people implicated in a scandal that was dubbed Vacuna-gate (Vaccinegate). It emerged that he, his wife and his older brother had all received two doses each of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine on the quiet. Vizcarra said this caused him “great surprise”. He said he had kept the vaccination secret at the time so as not to “put at risk” the normal rollout of the trial. He later issued a video statement regretting that decision. Earlier this month, the Peruvian Congress barred him from holding public office for 10 years as punishment. That means he will be unable to take the seat that he won in this month’s election. Peru has been one of the worst-hit countries in Latin America during the pandemic and at one point last year had the highest death rate per capita in the world. The nation of 32m people has recorded more than 1.75m cases and nearly 60,000 deaths.

去年十月到现在都半年了，灭活疫苗应该基本上失去保护作用了
其实秘鲁总统的这个病例应该认真观察一下，看看灭活疫苗的抗体基本消失以后，错误的T细胞免疫到底是有一点用，完全没用，还是会起反作用

国药是两针。从来没看到过国产灭活第三针怎么加强的说法，我个人觉得继续用原始毒株的意义已经不大了。

当时微博和知乎上带的节奏是这些秘鲁高官都是人精，算得清清楚楚，宁愿不要乌纱帽也要打中国疫苗保命

这些消息国内都是封锁的

如果轻症就还好了！！

版上也有加拿大和美国人打了疫苗也得新冠的消息，回复不都是打了疫苗也不是百分之百有效只要降低重症和死亡率就是好疫苗。换成中国疫苗同样的问题就是中国疫苗有效性很差。说人家是活该。真是双重标准。

打了疫苗还得新冠毕竟是少数。不过看起来有的疫苗概率比别的概率高的多。这已经不是第一个名人打了这种疫苗依然中招。之前那些可以说刚打没多久效果不行，这个是打了六个月效果不行。辉瑞莫德纳就没有这么出名的数据给人观摩。

國藥是胸線疫苗，有ade的風險？

所有的疫苗都不是完全有效，是真的没有文化还是就为了带节奏？流感疫苗这么多年也只是针对特定的流感。为啥到了新冠疫苗，特别是中国疫苗就希望要达到100%有效？简直莫名其妙。

国内打疫苗的信息单上是说有效半年，真准时，刚好半年

对中国疫苗有效性没有基本判断，不仅引进还亲自试药，这智商也是活该
