US national security adviser Jake Sullivan spoke to his Indian counterpart, Ajit Doval, by phone on Sunday and offered to send medical supplies and funding to boost Indian vaccine manufacturing capacity, the White House said. In a statement on Sunday, the US said it had found “sources of specific raw material” that was “urgently” needed for the Indian manufacture of the Covishield vaccine and would send those supplies, along with therapeutics, rapid diagnostic test kits, ventilators and personal protective equipment to India. The US added it was “pursuing options” to provide oxygen “on an urgent basis”. In addition, the US Development Finance Corporation would fund “a substantial expansion” of manufacturing capability for BioE, a vaccine manufacturer in India, with the goal of allowing it to produce at least 1bn doses of Covid-19 vaccines by the end of 2022. The US said it would also send a team of public health experts to India.

我觉得美国这次做的非常不好。
一方面没有断航印度。本来打疫苗已经让人看到了一些曙光，搞不好因为印度变种又带来新的一波。
另一方面也没有显示出对盟友的责任。就算不出口疫苗原材料，给印度捐赠一些氧气瓶，呼吸机，治疗新冠的药物总是可以的。至少可以表达对印度的支持。
不知道拜登政府怎么想的，现在完全无所作为。

先是抗疫不力，再是疫苗不安全用未经历史考验的新技术把人民做小白鼠，后来又是囤积疫苗不顾其它国家死活，或者是要求人家放弃新冠疫苗专利。
