faculty mm 帮帮忙，如何回复这封信

高情商的mm帮我家LD 看看怎么回这封信，他现在在教课，其中一个senior professor 发了这封信给他，LD不知道怎么回比较不会显得太疏远，不识好歹，同时也想知道该不该跟他make an appointment取经下，因为这个教授还挺受学生欢迎。 以下是他的信： xx, I wanted to check in to see how your classes were going and to offer my help if you have any questions or need any help in the future. I’m not sure if you’re doing any academic advising yet, but when you begin on that, I can walk you through the xx system and the university graduation requirements.
LD 前几天刚和DEAN 面谈过关于教课的事，他现在在教基础课，有些学生not motivated, 有三四个学生目前成绩是F，所以LD问了下Dean 怎么处理，Dean 可能有跟这个senior professor 讲了他们的面谈，所以senior professor 就给LD 发了信。
因为目前LD所在的是比较小的teaching学校，所以他们可能比较重视老师的感受吧。

这没啥吧，就正常回信说谢谢他愿意帮忙，自己确实有些问题（和Dean谈的内容就是他的问题啊），不知道对方有没有时间谈一下。

作为年轻的发考题，初期学校和系里一帮会找资深的发考题带着，一代帮一代。所谓Faculty Development/Mentoring 将来你老公也会有机会帮助新人的

是我的话我会这样回： Hi xxx (senior professor): Thank you so much for offering help. I would love to have a discussion with you regarding the graduation requirement of the university as well as how to motivate students. Please let me know your availability. My schedule is wide open this week and next week except xx xx (teaching and meeting time).
