Job Description Are you a student looking for an opportunity to prove your skillset?   We offer an internship program for motivated university students looking to assist China Labor Watch (http://chinalaborwatch.org) with current projects as well as develop new projects. CLW's work has influenced China's laws and the social responsibility standards of multinational companies in the past two decades. Over the years, the organization has trained over 10,000 Chinese workers. Public information shows that CLW has improved the working and living conditions of over a million Chinese workers.   We have designed the internship program to mimic the day-to-day duties of what working in the non-profit sector is like. In a small NGO like CLW, you will have ample opportunity to learn and participate in various aspects of our work, with direct access to our senior members of staff. Some of our past interns have remained in the non-profit sector, while many have gone on to pursue careers in policy, law, and professional services. Please note that due to the nature of our work, only interns with proficiency in Chinese and English will be considered.   Key Responsibilities • Assisting CLW with research for investigation reports • Conducting Chinese-English/English-Chinese translations of our literature • Seeking out and applying for funding opportunities • Drafting correspondences • Other administrative duties   Key Requirements • Well-organized, self-motivated and reliable • Strong interest in labor welfare, human rights, or corporate social responsibility • Oral and written fluency in Chinese and proficiency in English • Translation experience is desirable   Commitment & Application Deadline We are looking for someone who can commit 28 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months. The position is available now and applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
