How can we burn wood in a gas fireplace?

If you have a gas fireplace at your home, how could you burn wood inside the gas fireplace?
Do you need to remove all gas pipe out of fireplace before you begin burning wood there?

A gas fireplace is not designed to burn wood; burning wood in it could be a fire hazard, or, at the very least, fill your home with smoke.

在研究了n遍壁炉使用手册后，我意识到我的gas fireplace也可以烧木头，因为他的名字就叫wood burning fireplace🤣🤣。记得要把上面的通风罩子打开。 如果烧gas的话就在上面放那种假的木头,不用放木柴。 假设烧木柴的话，你就用钥匙扭开gas然后用打火机点火，先用gas把木头烧着之后就可以关gas纯烧木头了。

I heard from a builder that even if it is a wood burning fireplace (in the wall), it can only warm a few feet in front of it.
