You folks are amazingly generous. This will certainly help the family take some needed time off -- they have been through A LOT. I''m going to keep this up for a bit longer, since there is such an incredible outpouring of support. Thank you all. Original post is below:
Jeffrey Fang''s two toddlers were abducted when his car was stolen, Feb. 7. A gig driver, he was delivering for Door Dash when his kids were taken. For hours he and his wife didn''t know if they''d see Winifred and Sean, aged 4 and 2, again. Jeffrey is an immigrant and also a proud San Franciscan who has been here for years, working hard, long hours in the gig economy to bring his family from China to California. This incident was incredibly frightening, traumatizing, and will take them time to recover. Lets rally together and help the Fang family take some time off to rebound from this. Thank you. Clarification: A lot of people are writing in asking how I know Jeffrey and to be sure the funds will go to him. I''m a journalist in the Bay Area, and have been for 8 years now. When I was a student learning journalism at City College of San Francisco, Jeffrey was a student representative on the college board. We used to just be acquaintances, until we bonded over Star Trek and entertained each other with our favorite Trek quotes ("the line must be drawn, here!") on a long bus ride up to a protest in Sacramento. That was nearly ten years ago. When he left City College and I moved on to become a professional journalist, we stayed friends. I have a long track record in San Francisco, so I hope that could engender trust. This is my Twitter. I set up the account so the funds go straight to Jeffrey, only. But I''m managing the page (the text and fundraising goals and updates) so he can not worry about it and concentrate on his family. Thank you all. (Please excuse my using Google translate, it is not perfect but...)
终于有人指出这一点了—— The VCs in the comments want to say it is vile that we bring up what’s clear: —Gig workers don’t make enough to pay for childcare while they work. —Prop 22 let the company off the hook for any health, time off or other needs of the driver when something so horrible happens.
如果真的有心,可以去搜索一下jeffrey fang go fund me

exactly. good deeds crate good karma
