🎄闲话圣诞及圣诞歌曲🎄：Christmas, Feast of the Nativity, Christide等

Christmas是Christ和Mass两字组成，意思是Mass (弥撒）for Christ. 耶稣诞辰圣经新约有描述，没有提供日子。四世纪罗马教庭把罗马日历的冬至（也就是公历12月25日）定为Nativitatis(拉丁语“诞生”natum 延伸词），英文本名叫Feast of the Nativity (nativity=birth)，现通称Christmas.
Christide 是Christmas time 或Christmas season 的正式说法。就象复活节Easter季节也叫 Eastertide. 圣诞季节传统有12天（12 days of Christmas)。按基督教日历，Christide 从平安夜（Christmas Eve)开始，到第十二个晚上(叫Epiphany Eve 即第二年一月五日日落后）结束。

你孩子好聪明还学拉丁语（不知道在什么地方）。拉丁语我在美国只有在天主教堂听到过，以前大学合唱团唱过拉丁语。英文和拉丁文象现代汉语与古汉语，基本意思可以猜一猜。O Come Ye Faithful (Adeste Fideles)拉丁原文：
