从T Mobile换到Mint Mobile需要把手机unlock吗？

现在手机在T Mobile的plan里，好像换到Mint Mobile可以每个月省点话费。Mint Mobile用的也是T Mobile的网，我现在手机SIM卡是T Mobile家的，换Mint Mobile前需要先unlock手机吗？

不需要 亲身经历 但是因为Tmobile trade in iphone 8 可以拿免费iphone 12， 又从mint换回了Tmobile
