在我接触过的创业者当中,很多是有一个关于产品的发明创造点子因此创业。其实,有好的产品,首先要考虑的是卖给其它商业公司。这样可以更集中精力在改善产品上。
已经成功的公司有很多成功的理由。如已经有能凝聚才智的团队,有资金,有销售渠道。对创业者来说,从头开始做这些事大概率不是自己擅长的事情,这是很多很好的产品做不大的一个原因。
其次,就是这个商业模式是否有价值。这也意味着自己花费的时间精力是否有价值。举例说,很多商业其实价值来源于自己的劳动。特别是自雇性质的商业。如果自己退出或者雇佣其他人,利润和价值就没有了。这只是一个工作,而不是真的创了业。
有些什么有价值的商业模式呢。举例说,销售网络。小的如为客户安装维修净水系统、车库门等等。一旦产品到了寿命坏了,客户会想起你贴在产品上的电话打给你换新的。这个网络(电话)显然是可以剥离个人出售的。大如谷歌模式其实也类似。
因此,设计自己要创造的商业,可以从上到下或者从下到上。可以从产品入手。这也是工程师出身常见的切入点。但也可以有了目标再去找产品。
但归根结底要搞清楚,创业不应该是为自己找一份工作。而是创造一个可出售的商业。如果是因为失业、没工作,找工作只会比创业容易太多。
我要问的问题是,你计划抢谁的饭碗?(好比亚麻抢传统零售,乌伯抢传统出租)
我现在觉得,有idea也不一定要创业。因为自己了解,可以更好地评估支持别人创业。举例说,我认为人类应该去火星。很多美国人也这么认为。民间火箭组织和高手如云。但并不是很多人去创业TimeY。只要SpaceX冒了个靠谱的头,默默地支持SpaceX的,从军方小人物到大至参议员到新闻媒体,到处都有。
